We got better - Midshires Open Show 2004
Judge - Yvonne Fox
"7 months feminine slate, nice heading developing with dark eyes, nice ribbing, good angulation, nice balanced true action" - Jess's first critique.
At WELKS in April 2004 Jess won puppy bitch, judge Ian Burgoyne, thus qualifying for Crufts. His comments were, "very well constructed and appealed greatly for type. Good angulation and body proportion. Moved extremely well."
During the next 12 months Jess was shown at both Championship and Open shows. Her achievements included:
Guildford Open Show - May '04 - Best puppy in breed -Judge was Kay Farrier
Midshire Bearded Collie Club Championship Show - August '04 - Judge was Tony Bush. Jess was 2nd in Junior, Novice and Debutant, all to her sister Bendale Love Me Lots.
We then waited for her coat to grow before qualifying for Crufts 2006 at NEBCOL under Peter Fox - 3rd Post Graduate. However she didn't go to Crufts as she was in whelp with 9 lovely puppies.
Jess came back into the ring in late 2006 and qulaified for Crufts 2007 at the BCC of Scotland where she was 3rd in Post Graduate.

Best of Breed, Gp2 (pastoral)
Kent County Open Show Feb 2007
She followed this with winning Open Bitch at the BCC Open Show in April '07 and Post Graduate at the Windsor Championship Show.
Between these Sue Bird handled her to her stud book number at the 3 Counties Show when she was 2nd in Open Bitch, so we don't have to worry about qualifying for Crufts anymore!!
A number of shows continued throughout 2008 with the highllights being:
Dartford Open Show - Best of Breed, Gp 2 (Pastoral)
Midshire Open Show - 1st in Open Bitch
Guildford Open Show - 1st in Open Bitch
Paignton Championship Show - 2nd in Open Bitch
Crystal Palace Open Show 1st in Open
We have been to a couple of shows in 2009, but it was at WELKS in April when Jess really shone. Anne Wilding handled her in Open Bitch under judge Terry Collwell, who not only gave her 1st in Open Bitch, but awarded Jess her first Challenge Certificate. Now for the next two!

Jess will now be out of the ring for a few months on maternal duties so please follow progress on new puppies.
